Care instructions for your wardrobe

1. Cotton

Care: Machine wash cold with like colors. Do not use bleach and use a mild detergent.

Drying: Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Remove promptly to avoid wrinkles.

Ironing: Iron on medium heat when the material is still slightly damp or use a steam iron.

2. Wool (merino, cashmere, virgin wool)

Care: Hand wash in cold water with a special wool detergent or machine wash on the wool program.

Drying: Lay flat on a clean towel to maintain shape. Do not hang.

Storage: Store folded in a breathable bag to avoid moth infestation.

3. Silk

Care: Hand wash in cold water with a special silk detergent or dry clean.

Drying: Allow to dry flat in the shade. Avoid direct sunlight.

Ironing: Iron on a low setting with a cloth in between.

4. Linen

Care: Machine wash on gentle cycle with cold water.

Drying: Air dry or tumble dry on low heat. Remove immediately to avoid wrinkles.

Ironing: Iron at high temperature when the material is still slightly damp to achieve a smooth finish.

5. Polyester

Care: Machine wash warm or cold with like colors.

Drying: Tumble dry low. Remove promptly to avoid static and wrinkles.

Ironing: Iron at low temperature if necessary, but polyester is usually wrinkle-free.

6. Nylon

Care: Machine wash cold on gentle cycle.

Drying: Air dry or tumble dry on low heat.

Ironing: Iron only at low heat as high temperatures may cause melting.

7. Viscose

Care: Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Viscose is sensitive when wet.

Drying: Let dry flat. Do not twist or wring.

Ironing: Iron at low temperature when the material is slightly damp.

8. Leather

Care: Clean with a damp cloth. Avoid water and strong cleaning agents.

Drying: If wet, dab with a dry cloth and allow to dry naturally, away from heat sources.

Care: Apply leather care regularly to maintain suppleness.

9. Suede

Care: Clean with a suede brush to remove surface dirt. Avoid water.

Drying: If wet, dab with a dry cloth and allow to air dry.

Storage: Store in a dust bag to avoid stains and protect the finish.

10. Denim

Care: Wash rarely. Turn inside out and wash in cold water to preserve color.

Drying: Air dry if possible. Tumble dry on low heat if necessary.

Ironing: Iron on medium heat or steam to reduce wrinkles.

11. Acrylic

Care: Machine wash cold on gentle cycle.

Drying: Tumble dry low or air dry. High heat may cause shrinkage.

Ironing: If necessary, iron on low heat.

12. Elastane (Spandex, Lycra)

Care: Hand wash or machine wash cold on gentle cycle with like colors.

Drying: Air dry or tumble dry on low heat. Avoid high heat to maintain elasticity.

Ironing: Not normally required as spandex is wrinkle resistant. If necessary, iron on low heat.

13th velvet

Care: Hand wash cold or dry clean. Do not twist.

Drying: Dry flat or hang in a well-ventilated area.

Ironing: Use steam or steam carefully so as not to damage the structure.

14. Bamboo

Care: Machine wash cold with mild detergent.

Drying: Air dry or tumble dry low. Avoid high heat to maintain softness.

Ironing: Iron on low heat if necessary.

15. Hemp

Care: Machine wash cold with like colors.

Drying: Air dry to maintain fabric strength or tumble dry on low heat.

Ironing: Iron on medium heat for a smooth finish.

16th modal

Care: Machine wash cold on gentle cycle.

Drying: Air dry or tumble dry on low heat.

Iron: Low heat for a smooth finish.

17. Tencel/Lyocell

Care: Machine wash cold with mild detergent on gentle cycle.

Drying: Dry flat or tumble dry on low heat.

Ironing: Iron on low to medium heat.

18. Down/feather filling

Care: Machine wash cold with special down detergent or dry clean.

Drying: Tumble dry on low heat with clean tennis balls to restore volume.

Storage: Store uncompressed in a breathable bag to maintain volume.

19th Canvas

Care: Machine wash cold with mild detergent. Do not use bleach.

Drying: Air dry to avoid shrinkage and maintain the strength of the fabric.

Ironing: Iron on medium to high heat.
